These rhythm practice patterns feature notes with ties, half notes, dotted half notes, and their equivalent rests in 2/4 and 3/4 time. Make sure to count for every beat of every measure to ensure that you are playing the rhythms correctly. Before playing these patterns, read the introduction to Lesson 2, as well as the practice suggestion page for all of these note values.
Visit page 2 of Lesson 2 for patterns that include examples in 4/4 time. Also, listen to each audio recording for the patterns to make sure that you are playing them correctly. Find out more about The Fundamentals of Rhythm book by Kyle Coughlin.
